is the computer 's face has any change ?

Hi all I need your suggestion so please help ,consider that I want to design one card used for one device in the laboratory , and must have a software to view any change of that device , and suppose that I had finished that card and plug it into PCI slot , is the computer 's face has any change ? what do you say?
