I have the G5, DeathAdder, MX1000, and Fatality Laser. I love the G5 and the Fatality Laser for gaming but the MX1000 and DeathAdder are more comfortable.
I don't care for the texture of the G5. The cracked plastic just feels weird. I tried the Cyber Snipa Stinger, it was like a Deathadder with adjustable weights. It felt very comfortable... not as comfortable or as awesome as the Sidewinder though
When I went up to the local BB and CC and "felt up" ..LOL.. the gaming mice the G5 and the MX518 just felt uncomfortable to me.It might be because I have used a trackball for the last 7 years or so and naturally have kinda of a claw grip style anyways.I think comfort is probably the best thing to look for in a mouse and for a lot of people it might be a G5/Mx518 which are pretty much the same mouse minus the laser and weight system. The MX518 uses optical and doesnt have the integrated weight system and probably 95 % of hard core games swear by this mouse mainly do to it having been around for years and they are used to it.The G9 just felt more natural to me and didnt have the big hump that forms to your palm in the G5/MX 518 models
