Is the GTX 680 worth it, VS the GTX 670?

Title says it all.

I've read that the 680 gives roughly a 10%~ jump in performance.. Around five frames per second, or so? But, maybe there's something that I've missed, or something thats changed in a driver update since then.

Can anyone share their thoughts on this? I'm willing to spend the extra $100, but is it worth that much more? I'm currently set on getting an OC 670.

If your willing to spend the money on a 680 I'd say buy it but get the msi GeForce 680 lightning and overclock it. People have overclocked it to 1500+ and the card was cool enough to go beyond that speed with the new boost nvidia has made with the new Kepler cards.

I upgraded from a 570 to a 670, although my board/cpu only runs it 8x speed (stupid pci-e 3.0 "requires" a 3xxx series CPU) it's still very fast.

Way i look at it if you end up spending 400 on the card, is the extra 100 really going to make or break it? probably not. Id go with the 680.

I don't think the £100 bump in price for a 680 vs a 670 is worth it,A 670 is a beast trust me.

Get the 670 with a good cooler.:)

I have GTX 670 FTW from EVGA, which apparently uses the 680 PCB design. I don't use cooler on it and under load (100%), temperature doesn't go high (around 60 to 64 celcius). It performs 60FPS+ with vsync with MAXED out settings on all games like Borderlands 2, Aion, L4D2, Diablo 3, etc....

**People... I hate to be a grammar nazi but stop confusing then and than T_T

Did you notice a large difference? That's literally the card I own and the one I planned to upgrade to.

I run 2560x1440, which isn't much different than 1600 and the 670 just eats up any game I throw at it. The 670 is a beast....and runs cool I don't know why you guys are all saying to get something other than reference cooler. Even at a near silent 60% fan the GPU never gets out of the 70's which is plenty cool.

Your so lucky everything is so expensive in Australia most stuff is like double the price of the conputer parts you buy in America

no point to 4gb for me...id say get 2gb card as you probably will run out of horsepower before running out of tire... (hp = cpu; tire = ram)
