Is there a FLV player that actually works with no catch?

Does anyone know of a standalone FLV player that:

1. Does not contain malware
2. Does not want to change my home page or install search engine toolbars
3. Is easy to install
4. Will play .FLV files from a hard drive or a USB drive

I'd think VLC or Media Player Classic would play them without an issue. I'd lean more towards MPC and the K-Lite "Mega" codec pack.
