Is there a sticker on the thermal pad of a stock intel heatsink?

Is there a plastic sticker on a stock Intel heatsink's thermal pad? (i5-2400)

I already installed the cooler, but if there was a sticker, then I need to reinstall it. I don't want to remove it if there isn't a sticker though.

Help would be appreciated, as I have a partially installed cooler at the moment. :)
 
But was there a sticker that I was supposed to remove first? (There was a big piece of plastic covering the whole side of the heatsink where the pad was.)

[edit] this is my first build, so I don't have previous experience. :)
 
Of course I removed the big plastic cover - there's no way I could have installed it with that on. :)

But is there also a thin clear film, sticker, cover, etc, on the actual pad itself underneath the big plastic cover? I don't remember seeing one, but I could have missed it.

I can't actually take the heatsink off to check, because if there isn't a film, then I'll destroy the thermal pad.

[edit] or maybe it won't destroy the pad - some people seem to think it would be okay

I would let the system run for several minutes doing something and then go into BIOS and check your temperatures. Post the temperatures here please for all to view.
 
I've got to install the motherboard and then connect the psu cables first. After that, I should be able to get some temp readings.

There is no plastic thing besides what the heatsink comes in.
