Is there a way in Win7 that can disable the touchpad temporarily while typing...?

...so that you can avoid accidentally bumping into the touchpad while typing, and have the cursor click somewhere else?

If your talking about a laptop you will have to refer to the manual. they all have a dedicated key or hot key to disable.

My touchpad has that setting enabled by default, its funny because I'm been trying to find a way to disable it!

I've been able to find my touchpad settings, but no option to enable/disable that specific feature.

If you haven't already done this, go to your mouse options in your control panel and click the "device settings" tab. Click settings and try and find a way to enable that feature.

I updated the drivers, and then I could see the touchpad tab in mouse settings.

Use a USB mouse and disable the touchpad in device manager.
