I downloaded Myst V: End of Ages off of direct2drive.com, and I can't play it because I have Vista. Well, I can't get a refund, and I can't sell it because it's a file and not a CD, so my only option is to trick it into thinking I have XP.

Is there any kind of software I can download that would "translate" Vista into XP for the purpose of gaming? I need it to be free, thanks, since I've already spent enough money getting the game. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Just for the record, I'd google it myself, but I don't know what to put in the search bar.
 
im not sure if its free or not but the program vmware is a virtual pc program. it lets u run a "computer" on ur pc. so basicly u open the program and within the program u can run xp me 2000 98 linux w/e all without having to format ur main os. only catch is u need to have the os to instal it on a virtual machine. i luv it.
