Is there a program out there that's really simple to use to OC my pc? Simple as in me going I want this from 3.20ghz to 3.46ghz. Doubt it but thought I'd ask.

If you have an Asus motherboard there is actually an overclocking program but other than that, it has to be done through BIOS.

Damnit, GIGABYTE X58 GA-EX58-UD3R 2 WAY CROSSFIRE/SLI DDR3 that's my motherboard.

You think if i made a thread saying what i wanted someone on the forum could give me step by step instructions? I wanna OC my gaming pc just cause ocing is so popular.

Overclocking using software is not recommended.

My board has a "Dummy O.C." option, and it works,
but even that doesn't come highly regarded either.

Best to learn to do it yourself, or find someone with
your same hardware (Gigabyte forums?) and get some
good starting points to save some time.

From what i no all you do is set numbers, so someone with the same board as me should be able to tell me what to do in minutes.

I'm not ready to oc this moment I ordered the pc 3 days ago. but the cpu is a i7 960, heatsink i have no idea

Are you buying a pre-built - or buildign yourself?

There are a ton of guides online to overclocking your core i7 cpu. I haven't tried yet - but I finally got my V8 CPU cooler - so I at least have the option now. Need to install the CPU cooler by Sunday to see how this puppy cools.
