Is there any 12 inches net/notebook under $500 with dual core processor have at least 1024x768 resolution? It would be nice if have long battery life too.

There are plenty of netbooks under $500, and a handful of notebooks in that range.

this is best one i've found with being 12" and under $500. the manufacture is pretty well known it self so i hope this works for you.

Thank you guys, I love that asus more too, hope it will come down more with it's price. it was $600 last month.

The Lenovo one has a higher build quality compared to the ASUS, but the ASUS will be faster.

different best buy has different offerings, seriously, in my town all you see is macs and sony and toshiba, very few HP and acer, one asus (the G73 series stripped down) and few netbooks even to this days. and the price is almost 20% or up compare to online retailer and with $1000 tax adds up another $75 which adds up in higher end price.

This one doesn't see the speed of the cpu and it is weight too much for a 11.6 inch netbook. (5.4LB)( Misleading information on the specs at the website. it is 3.1lbs edited)

I think I will wait a little till August back to school for the asus I3 intel. hope it get cheaper then.
