OK,ya'll know when you go to search,to search for files on your computer? Well, when you searched a file, then you want to search it again, an the first letter you ttpe it'll bring up what you searched the last time, an I want to know is how can I delete that history, heres a screen shot as an example.

right click on taskbar, select properties, start menu, customise, clear list on both tabs. hope that made sense.

the taskbar is the bar along the bottom of your screen, and houses the start button, and little rectangles showing your running programs. click in the blank space between this.

OK, I've gotton everything so far,I'm at the start menu,I clicked on customise, an all I do is click the button that says clear list? Also right beside it,on the left side, it says programs, an they say removes the list in start? (Id ont want all my programs to be removed though, I know its just the shortcuts but is there another way?Or am i just doing it wrong?

The task bar can also be locked at the top or side of the screen with the auto hide enabled or disabled. When you move the mouse pointer at the sides or bottom by default it will be the long thin rectangular bar that suddenly pops up. You then simply right on the blank space between the Start menu and quick launch links and the clock and small icons at the other end. The menu then appears for choosing properties.

The Clear List was all you needed there. The add/remove startups will effect programs you have installed on your system. As soon as you clear the list just exit back to the desktop.

Once you get into the Customize Start Menu screen you simply click on the clear button(#5) under the sort button(#4) and then press the OK button to exit that screen and then click the OK button on the remaining Task Bar and Start Menu screen to exit that. You are all done at that time. If you tamper with anything you will effect the list of items that start along with Windows.
