For 1.9k, yes. This will blow anything away. I, personally, wouldn't spend as much on a few items, such as your monitor, speakers, case, and water cooling system. Air cooled would be plenty with a good ventilation for your case. But that's just me.

And also, I would wait for the Bulldozer CPUs in a month or so.

Its a very nice build,I agree with claptonman you could wait for a bit and go Bulldozer.

These are a few changes i would make to your list.

Id change the ram to these. 2x4gb sticks vs 4x2gb sticks you choose, and these are faster and have better timings.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...1401&cm_re=8gb_g.skill-_-20-231-401-_-Product

Not too sure on that Roswill PSU,Id go with Corsair or Antec
$99 after mir.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ..._re=corsaif_enthusiast-_-17-139-021-_-Product

And the hard drive,That motherboard you selected has SATA 6Gb/s so id get a SATA 6Gb/s Hard drive,Not that it matters all that much but why not.

Or if you can spend a bit more....
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533&Tpk=western digital black 6gb

To save a bit of cash you could just get a 6950 2gb over a 6970,There really isnt much diffrence between them and if your lucky you might be able to unlock the shaders on the 6950 anyway making it a 6970.

I would change a few things.

1. Wait for bulldozer to come out or go with the 2nd gen i5/i7
2. If you want the contained liquid loops get the Corsair H60. About the same performance for less money.
3. Get a different PSU. Rosewill units are not of the best quality. Antec/Corsair/Seasonic/XFX/Silverstone will have good units.

I didn't even notice the HDD was for 3GBs, and the 6GBs is cheaper, thanks :D

Yeah i think AMD are on to a winner here,I cant wait to see how they perform. :)

My tips-

1. Sandy Bridge
2. Cheaper monitor
3. Drop the speakers, get nice headphones. (Grados are amazing)
4. Cheaper Case (Build one from legos :))
5. Use the money you saved for a Gtx 580.
6. Get the h20 620 instead. (920 has bad reviews and same temps.)

The motherboard I have is great, but the one you showed me is just as good. Im kind of stuck in the middle of them both

Im going to post the specs of both Motherboards and see what you guys think.

The motherboard I posted is futureproof.
The BullDozer will be coming out(rumoured June 7),and you won't be handicapped with an AM3+ motherboard, and can upgrade to Zambezi. :D

Thanks for the advice, I'd only change one thing. I'd get a Radeon HD 6990 instead of a GTX 580.

ATI is godly

My work computer is actually a very similar build. I have the 1090T with with that exact RAM too on an earlier version of that motherboard, the 790X. I built this for multitasking, not gaming, but it dominates at that. I commonly have a dozen or more programs running at one time and have basically no slowdown on Windows 7 64-bit.
