Is this a good build?

First post ;)

I'm planning on building a gaming PC but I don't really know much about the topic.

I've gotten what I think is a good system planned out but I'd like some opinions on it.

Here it is:

Processor: "Intel® Dual Core™ i3-2100 Processor (3M Cache, 3.10 GHz)"

RAM / Memory: Gaming Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR III 1600Mhz System Memory With Low Latency

Operating System: Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit

Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V-LX Intel Z68, 4xDDR3, PCIe2x16, SATA3, Audio, Video, LAN, USB 3.0, RAID & Support Upto 16GB of RAM Requires Dedicated VGA Card

Hard Drive: 1000GB (1TB) Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive

Graphics Card: 1GB ATI Radeon HD 6870 Graphics Accelerator - Support Crossfire - GDDR5 - VGA/DVI/HDMI

Optical Drive: 22X Dual Layer DVD Rewriter - Supports Dual Layer (8.5GB) - Bundled With Nero Essential Burning Software

Memory Card Reader: "JW 3.5"" Internal Multi Card Reader"

Case/Chassis: Antec Three Hundred Gaming Tower Case - 9 Drive Bays + 500W Power Supply

Power Supply: "Widetech 650W Silent PSU, 140mm Cooling Fan, 2 x 6 Pin VGA PCI - Express, 4 x SATA, 5 x 4 Pin IDE

Monitor/Screen: "23"" Acer LED Widescreen Monitor - 1920 x 1080 - High Contrast Ratio - Low Power Consumption"

Gaming Keyboard: Razer Arctosa Gaming Keyboard + Razer Abyssus Gaming Mouse Bundle

Office Applications: \"NEW - Microsoft Office Home & Student (PKC) - Word, Excel, Powerpoint & OneNote (License 1 User)\"

Antivirus & Internet Protection: Norton 360 Version 5 All In One Security Package - 3 User Licence (12 Months Subscriptions)

Wireless Network Card: Wireless G Internal Card - 54MBPS

Processor Cooling Fan: "Aywun RADI A1-V4 CPU Cooler with 80mm Ultra Quiet Fan, Copper/Aluminium"

I can get all of this for $1,675.00 AUD or $1,805.15 USD. Pretty budget really.

Is this worth it? Are there any complications here or clashes that need to be fixed?

Some of the sorts of games I would like to play are Mass Effect, WoW and Elder scrolls. I'd like to play them on the very maximum visuals if possible but I want them at least to be high on all of them.

Thanks

Case
-I have nothing against Antec, but there are better cases out there. The 302 is a great case, but the 300 is lacking in cable management options. I would look into the Coolermaster HAF series, or something with better cable management.
PSU
-That brand is subpar. Pick one from Antec, Corsair, PCPAC, NZXT, XFX, Seasonic, or Silverstone.
Antivirus
-Norton and Macavee are not really good systems. there are ones out there that are less drain on your system, and that have a higher protection than the big name ones.

As for the budget, you are being raped by the seller. Your most likely paying 4-600 for them to build it, thus your paying ~2-300 an hour for labour.
If you are willing to build yourself, then we can help you create a part list, and I can tell you for sure that on ~1500 you can get a 2500k and GTX580.

Firstly what is your budget?
I would change to the Intel I5 2500k processor
Could you name the hard drive please and if you can afford it even a small SSD will speed you computer up no end
The case looks ok but you might want to look for one with USB 3 on the front
I don't know much about power supply but people seem to like corsair so I would look for one of there, preferably modular
If you are planning on ussing the wireless card I would get a much better one, make sure it says n+ on the description not just g

he has a good budget, as he is looking at paying $1600 for that, mind you that you could probably get all of those parts for sub 800.

That doesn't mean he won't spend more
What sort of cooling do you think he will need if he goes for the 2500k, I was thinking water cooling but I don't know the difference between then?

he won't be able to afford water cooling. A good loop will cost 700+ just for cooling parts.

I would say a 212+ evo would be a good option, maybe a H80 (i think that is the dual 120 version?) if he wanted to go crazy with the Overclock.

The h80 does have the 2 120mm fans, i would go for the h100 though as its got a larger radiator. You will have to make sure that the case you get can house the larger radiator on the h100. Forgive me if im wrong but aren't both the h80 and h100 water cooling?

Depends on whom you ask. They are a sealed system, and no where near as effective as a true water-cooling system. They actually iirc aren't much better than a air cooler from that same price range.

When someone says water to me I understand it to be a full loop or dual loop deign. Meaning that they need a radiator, Pump, Reservoir, water blocks for GPU and CPU, fittings and tubing.
