is this a good build?

Hi there. Ive been thinking about building my own gaming pc. I don't really know anything about components. Is this build any good? Or could you make recommendations for different parts. Or a completely new build. I want to spend around 500you ish? Maybe a bit more? Thanks!

It's missing a few things such as a power supply - a Corsair CX 500 would be enough. It's not bad but it's a bit outdated. You could build a better one yourself.

That's a crap PSU, get a CX 600. The CPU is also pretty poor too I forgot to mention - get a Phenom II X4 955 BE or something of the like, they're so cheap these days.

Old chipset motherboard. Power Supply is not any good. Change the board to a 900 series chipset and do away with the Athlon II X3 and go for a FX-4000 series. Power supply, go with a Seasonic/Corsair/PC Power&cooling/Antec/NZXT/XFX in the 500 to 620W range.

The CX600 is also a poor PSU. It only supplies 520W on the 12v rail. The Antec NEO 520 is a better PSU.

There's nothing wrong with a CX 600. 520W on the +12V rail for a 600W unit is fine, it's only 80W off the whole wattage of the PSU.
