I am looking at a Compaq Presario Notebook Model: F767NR

It is priced at $499.99 at Best Buy.
It has a processor AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core
It has a 250GB HDD
It comes with 2GB of RAM
The processor speed is 2.0GHz

I am not too, too familiar with this kind of stuff, but I do think that this is a great for $499.

I plan on buying it today. But I wanted to see first if this is a good deal. Thanks!!

499? there must be a trap in that deal.
AMD is not a great precessor better buy a laptop with intel pentium.

It really does sound like a good deal with the 250GB HDD. I can't find anything negative towards the comp. To be honest, I've had minimal experience with AMDs compared to Intel, but I really don't think they're bad at all. I'm just looking for a reliable laptop that I can do internet surfing on as well as college work, and not have a fried motherboard problem like my previous Toshiba Satellite laptop.

Sounds like a fairly good deal to me. I am not really a fan of AMD processors, but other than that, it sounds like a good deal. Seems like a good amount of RAM for a laptop that only costs 500 bucks. Doesn't give you a whole lot of room for memory expansion, as the Best Buy site says that you can only upgrade to 3GB, but that should do the job for ya. Overall, it sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

I prefer AMD Processors in laptops, they're quick and run cooler and use less electricity ive noticed.
