This is my first build of a computer and i need to know if this will run fast enough.
The motherboard i am using is :Asus AM3 M4A87TD/USB3 5200MT/S
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 Quad 955 Core 3.2GHz Processor 4 x 512 KB
Memory: Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 XMS3 4GB
And the GPU: XFX HD 5670 1GB SDDR3 DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card.
Power supply is 500 watt
Can someone please help me and reply to this thread :) thank you.

Yep, pretty fast. But what will it be used for? If gaming, what games?
Get AM3+ socket for future upgrades.
For 4GB memory, get 2x2GB kit.
What brand/model power supply is that 500w? If it comes with a case, it's not a good one. Go for Antec/Seasonic/XFX/Corsair/Silverstone/PC Power&Cooling.

also wouldn't he need a new copy of windows to install, and probably should get new hdd's with faster rpm's and all.

It will be used for gaming, but not for anything like crysis.
I am getting 2x2GB kit anyway
ITs actually a 520 watt made by a company called ace.
Thanks a lot for the advice, really appreciate it :)

you should change to a corsair/antec/pc p&c/xfx/seasonic/silverstone power supply, those are the best quality psus, and currently the antec neo 620w is on sale for 10 off so it is the same as the 500w we normally recomend for 60 i think, and rebates to like 20 or 30.

Buying or using that ps would be unacceptable. The Acer is cheapy made, very unreliable, and will most likely go out and ruin other components when it does.
You could say that the ps is the most important component when it comes to picking for quality. There's so much more to one than the wattage it says it has(which could be misleading). It gets down to the actual components used to make it, how many amps, and how those amps are distributed. If you stick with one of those brands listed above, you will have clean reliable power.
