Is this a good computer build for my 500-700 budget?

Those games you mentioned aren't very graphics intensive. If i were you though, i would get a different case with a better cooling system. That case is about 60$ and only has 1 120mm fan. I just bought this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146060
it has 3 120mm fans and a 140mm fan. With this you probably won't need that fan.

Also, heres a better 500gb (according to some of the benchmark scores) harddrive for the same price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181

here are the benchmark scores for the samsung hd: http://www.harddrivebenchmark.net/hdd_lookup.php?cpu=SAMSUNG+HD502HJ

At a quick glance you wont need that sound card. So that is $100 you could put elsewhere.

Edit: You can spend that $100 on a cooler master 690 II advanced case. If you like the look of it then you are all set.

That processor is the oler LGA 775, while your motherboard is LGA 1156. They aren't compatible.

The cheapest one that will fit is this Pentium G6950:

And the best value is this Core i3 530:

Good choice on everything else, though this XFX 4670 would be a better GPU for the price:

edit: I agree, the sound card isn't necessary. Put it into the CPU and GPU. With the extra, you can upgrade to that i3 and a Radeon HD4860:
