I think this is it!

I've posted up some on different forums and some suggested switching the processors to the i7...this would mean I need a motherboard that can handle the i7 and I was looking at the EVGA 132-BL-E758-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard...is this okay?

Looks good, but if you want to put an i7 in there instead, you will have to get a different motherboard and DDR3 RAM as well. I would venture to recommend the AMD Phenom II X4 processors instead of the Core 2 Quad though.

Welcome to the forums,

If you have to buy the whole computer anyway, I would go with an i7 and be able to know that you have a better upgrade path in the future. The price difference nowadays is very small. You can buy an i7 920 for 288.99 Any x58 mother board out right now is good. It's just a preference on features. You will need DDR3 as well. I would go with some 1600 ram to give you some room to OC. Mushkin 6gb of 1600 for 124.99. Also a good investment would be a cooler like this : Coolermaster V8.

Great choice on case and power supply. My friend just purchased the 750w and it powers 2 4 drive raids, a OC q6600 and a 4870x2 no problem. There has been many problems with Seagate harddrives recently. I would go with a WD. They have just released the new Green drives and they are 104.99 for 1TB.

Good luck on the build man. These forums are great for answering questions.

In support with THERMAL-REACTOR, definitely go i7 if you can!

If you go with a C2Q build now it'll be like buying a regular kit kat when kit kat chunky's are only slightly more expensive.

No idea why i chose that as an example, but live with it. ;)
