is this a good deal for my build?

Can your motherboard support that fast of speeds? Are you using it as a gaming rig? For gaming, 8GB is more than enough, and anymore than that is overkill and a waste of money.

i mean anyone in here will say if they had the resources for overkill, they'd get overkill, so there's nothing wrong with it.

ddr4 comes out in 2012, idk when but saw a thing saying the min was 1600 like ddr3's min is 800, and max was like 2133, which techniclly ddr3's max is like 1600 or 1866, so they were expecting speeds in the 3k's

DDR4 will be out in 2015 at earliest according to DRAM manufacturers. Nothing wrong with DDR3 at the moment. Might as well buy while the stuff is cheap as well.

It might be cheaper to go for two 8GB kits rather than a 16GB kit. Get two of these, it's cheaper overall:

$106 for two of those vs. $200 for the ripjaws. Not as fast but I doubt you will be able to run 16GB at 2133mhz at rated timings!

where are all the different dates coming from? im hearing a lot of 2012, i heard that the very first ddr4 was just made and wont be out for a while, now im hearing 2015
