Im not looking for an amazing computer just a pretty good cheap one.

It'll do what you want it to do. As far as the price, I would negotiate it. You can usually go down on the price with classified ads. (or is it a store ad?)

I would say bad deal. The processor was good, but is now a bit on the old side and doesn't compete with the new Intels. Everything else is also pretty average, and the graphics are flat out bad. Granted, it does come with a few accessories it seems, but I would say you could get equal hardware for a few hundred bucks cheaper.

It's better to build your own, provided that you know how. For example...

Case/keyboard/speakers/other junk: you can typically get these for free if you ask around. My family has about five cases and maybe twenty or thirty keyboards in the attic above the garage.

Misc. features: gigabit ethernet, 7.1 audio, Radeon HD 3100 onboard graphics, USB ports, SATA RAID, etc.

Total: $708, assuming that you don't already have a monitor or Windows disk laying around somewhere. If you do, then you can cut well over a hundred dollars from the price tag.

Also, Vista is epic suck. If you feel compelled for any reason to buy a computer with Vista on it, your first order of business should be to reformat the hard drive and install an operating system that is actually useable.

i doubt niguoki has actually used it. microsoft did a study where they told people they were releasing their new operating system, the people really liked it, but it was actually vista. most people just believe what they hear, and for some reason the general consensus is that vista sucks.

and don't go with nigouki's build. i'm not trying to bash nigouki now, but his build is comparable, or even worse than the one above. for the money, you could get something like omega got, or i don't know who else. but alot of us get really good deals on our computers. check out slickdeals.net to look for stuff.
