Came across this at Newegg and thought it looked like a good deal. Would the card be good for light gaming I don't play many games right know I only play flight simulator x and just won't a better card do you think I can play it on high with the 4670. The power supply looks pretty good I know rosewill is not the best PSU company but most of the reviews are pretty good even though there is not that many. I was planning on buying a new PSU, RAM, CPU cooler then saving up for a 4870. What do you think I should do get this and get the RAM,CPU Cooler later or go ahead and get the RAM,PSU,CPU Cooler and get a 4870 later on.

Here it is http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.206174

Well the card is on sale for $70 should I get the card then get a PSU something like the 600w OCZ stealthxstream would do right. I just really won't to know how the card will preform on FSX I'm getting tired of not seeing any detail when I play.

Edit: I just noticed that the 4670 does not need any PCIe connectors but should I still get a new PSU right know I have a 500watt apower came with my case it says 28A on the +12V rail. The name of the PSU it self worries me but right know it is running everything good but PC PROBE is saying that I'm only getting 11.92V on the +12V rail does that sound right or should it say 12V.

Well, i run fsx on a 9800gtx and it leaves a little to be desired(25fps or so average at 1680x1050). So i would wait to get a 4870, or at bare minimum a 4850. Besides, a 4830 can be had for $74.99 and is alot better than a 4670...

Alright then that's pretty much all I wanted to know. What do you think about getting a 4850 then getting a Xclio staplepower 500w. Something tells me I should just wait and get the 4870 but like a lot of people have told me I am very impatient which usually leaves me to regret what I buy.

Just wait, heck, in a few months you can probably pick up a 4890 for around $150 or so, maybe cheaper once the 5xxx series comes out.

Yep that is probably what I will do I'm going to go ahead and get my RAM,CPU Cooler. Then wait and get my GPU,PSU once I have saved up around $300 because I won't to get a really good PSU that way I can take it with me for my next build. Thanks for the help

No they're not  Ive had Rosewill PSUs in every custom PC ive had, excluding this one. Ive never had one Rosewill PSU fail, even powering a 4870 off a 550w Rosewill ;)
Rosewill=newegg house brand, unreliable at best. Ive seen quite a few newegg psu failures, they use cheap components and the RG series are made by atng iirc...(ATNG makes most of the rosewill power supplies)

Bomber , your just a Rosewill Hater, LOL.

My friend has two Antec Power Supplies that failed, that doesnt mean anything. You cant really say that if rosewill is newegg's brand then it always has to be bad. It just a fact not an opinion.

It is a fact, they are made by an unreilable company. Antec power supplies have good internals made by FSP, Enhance, Channelwell and seasonic. Rosewill power supplies are manufacturered by ATNG, Solytech, and wintech iirc. Another example is corsair, use quality internals from channelwell and seasonic.

Don't listen to bomber. Rosewill are a solid brand. I've bought over 15, not a single on has failed, and they're all I use in customer builds. My current, and last 4 PSUs were all Rosewill. For the price they give more watts and amps than others, and they're covered by a solid Newegg warranty.

Rosewill is a computer hardware rebrander based in City of Industry, California. It buys products from a wide range of OEMs and places its label on the products. The item's manufacturer can be identified by the UL number or FCC ID on the label. Rosewill maintains a full line of computer products such as cooling fans and computer cases. It is a house label of Newegg.com. Although they used to rebrand Video Cards, Computer Monitors, and RAM chips, they now focus on computer networking accessories and add-ons.

I've decide to go with a XFX 4850 and a OCZ 500w. After thinking for a while I decided to get a GPU/PSU that will last me for 6 months or so until I build my next computer. I have been putting money in a savings account for 3 months now I got about $700 saved up I figure in 6 months I will have around $2000 which I will use to build me a real gaming rig something that can take anything I can throw at it so until then i am just going to get me a decent GPU/PSU for my current rig and maybe some more RAM. I got to get this one ready to sell once I finish my new one probably sell it cheap like around $300-$400 I might just give it away.

Which is exactly why NOT to trust them. Thats like saying a honda is better than a lotus because they have the same horsepower. Many other factors come into play, such as quality of capacitors/transformers used, how stable the voltage is, etc. And what good does a warranty do when the power supply fails and blows your mobo or gpu? Those alone cost more than a quality power supply alot of the time.

Rosewill is a Newegg House Brand. It goes to who ever is the cheapest bidder. I would not spend my money on them. (You all must give alot of credit to the HOPE factor) You could probably buy 5 of the same model over a year time period and some of them was made by somebody else. Its amazing the credit people will give a company to save a few bucks. I had one that worked BLAH BLAH BLAH. I got a great left handed screwdriver I will sell you. Or a metric Crescent Wrench.

Stick with a quality Name Brand!!!

Exactly:good:

Don't worry I don't plan on buying a rosewill for my system anyways. My boss only lets me use Antec,OCZ,FSP for customer builds at my shop. We have a well supplied stock of PSUs I might just pick one up from there instead of buying from newegg I will have to pay a little more but I will have it sooner. As for the 4850 I'm getting the 1GB XFX its $120 but is better quality and looks better.

Smart boss;) Although corsair and pcpower&cooling also make excellent power supplies, above the quality of those from antec/ocz/fsp but any quality psu like that is good;)
