No, its not too bad, considering you got the 5870 in there :D But is that a prebuilt? Cuz if you bild it yourself, you will save money.

Not a bad deal if you don't know how to build a PC. The only downside would be the PSU. You would need 900W for crossfire 5870. But if you are not crossfire, I don't see the point getting i7 920 with X58 mobo...

thanks for that, yes it's a pre built and overclocked... from www.overclockers.co.uk

no, im not getting crossfire, think one of those 5870's should be more than enough.... its probably a lot more powerful than i need but i'm hoping that just means its quite future proof. hoping it lasts me 5yrs... can always upgrade cpu or graphics cards a few yrs in if required.

Yeah 5 years time.

Your CPU will be.... SLOW.

and your card will most likely be able to play games at medium tops.

hmmm well i did say HOPE :-).. also my athlon fx-53 has lasted a while... i think 4 years and wasnt even the best processor when i got it.

i guess there should be a decent hope of upgrading the processor in a few yrs if needed unless they bring out a new socket, and graphics card would be an easy upgrade.

just placed my order :-)
