is this a good keyboard

You should learn how to type so you don't have to... lol :) jk.

I can type 80WPM but when I'm in the dark I screw all up I don't know why. Plus for some reason I can never hit that damn period key with out looking 75% of the time I always hit the wrong one.

Same here. I can't type in the dark for crap.

Kinda like Angie Jolie in "Hackers"

Jolie: I hope you don't screw like you type.

^I screwed up about 20 times typing that whole response.

lol... I screw up sometimes when I have to hit the Q key or the Z key for obvious reasons...
Did you learn how to type on your own? I did...

EDIT:
Oh and to be on topic, yeah I have an ergonomic keyboard that does me great! lol

I always mess the Z and X up my pinky just don't wont to go the right way. I learned how to type in the 6th grade back then I was doing 25WPM but I have improved my skills with this site.

Maybe if you sign up we can do some races but there are people that are pushing 200WPM so most of the time I only come in 2nd or 3rd. I started a new profile a while ago I only got up to 55WPM so far it takes a while to up your average.

Have you ever tried an ergonomic before to see if there's a difference in your accuracy? (question directed to OP and Fatback)

Yeah I'll get you up on that offer soon. As of right now I need to start working on my AP college level Chemistry.. :| lol

I have used many keyboards but I have only tested my typing with a few right now I have this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126041&Tpk=logitech ex 100 got it a target for $12 go me. I am thinking of getting a new keyboard and mouse but I don't wont to spend a lot plus a can find anything that is wireless that I like all the good ones seem to be wired and I don't wont to get a wireless keyboard and mouse from different models then I would have to have two different receivers I have no USB ports as is.

:O logitech for 12$ bucks and on top of that, wireless too???? Good golly... Was it on sale? I spent 30$ on the one I have now (I posted the link already). I bought it at Frys. They had it marked for 60$ but there was an error and I payed 30$ lesss... :D
I find that I type maybe a little faster on a standard keyboard than an ergonomic but on a standard you hands can start to hurt when you've been typing for a long time..

Yea it was around Christmas when I got it was regular $30. My keyboard sits on my lap so I find it actually is very comfortable typing but when playing a game it's another story. I hope to get me a small desk/table/tray or something soon just for my keyboard and mouse but first I got to get some new fans, a CPU Cooler, New RAM, probably another HDD(only got 50GB left).

Ah.. Great deal, great deal.
Yeah I found that out too.. lol I also like my keyboard ON my desk, not on my keyboard tray better.. Yeah that's my problem too.. Running out of room here...
But yeah. If you lay your hands down in front of you comfortably, you will see that they sort've aim towards each other like this /.\ and that's why people say that the 'standards are bad for you'. Which, is true to some extent..

Right now I don't have a desk at all and I would get a desk but I use my TV as my monitor and I don't think it would be good for my eyes if I sit it on a desk in front of me the thing is 40" my 26" monitor I had hurt my eyes I don't think I wont something that big 2 feet away from me. If you wont to see some pics of my setup then you can find some on my profile. The next keyboard I get will be for typing since I don't play games with my keyboard and mouse I wont something comfortable I also need something for big fingers because I find myself hitting two keys at once.
