(case)

I like that case and it seems to have amazing airflow. However, it IS pretty large, at 22 in high and 23 in deep!! I was kinda hoping to find a case smaller than 20" high.. but idk... ::sigh:::(

The powersupply said it could run dual GeForce 7900 GTXs. Does that mean that it can only run 7900gtxs and below, or those were simply the cards that wer eout at the time. Would it be possible to use sli on two 8800s on this psu?

If you were running two 8800GTXs, I would go for something along the lines of a Corsair 620 watt PSU.

That case is okay, though I would spend a bit extra and get the Antec P180B if I was you.

I dont like the antec p180b. it looks too much like a fridge. Plus i like cases with transparent side panels and lights (although you could of course always add in the lights) and i dont want to have to cut the panel in myself.

And i don't actually plan on running 2 8800gtx's. I was just wondering an di take it that the the answer is a no. I do, however, plan on buying one 8800gtx. Th psu would nicely power that, right?

its steel but the fan placement and size should move a lot of air in the case and i think it looks cool and it looks like the interior layout would be decent to work with.

That case is not a good idea. Go with a lian-li or Antec, despite there mundane appearance you will not be disappointed with the quietness and airflow.

I kinda didn't understand pc eye's suggestion. Out of the three, which were you suggesting? The OCZ model looked promising. Maybe i'll get that one? Hopefully it'll last extremely long. 130 on a powersupply only, without factoring in tax, shipping, and warranty is a lot.

And idk.. i didn't really like the cases other people suggested. I want something exotic that stands out with a transparent side panel, lights, and excellent air flow, all under $125 if possible. And.. well.. i like curves. The case I showed isn't exactly what i'm lookin for, but with dual 250mm fans, it was the closest i found on newegg.

But mostly on the powersupply... Which one should I get? As previously mentioned, the OCZ looks promising..

OCZ is a premium brand to start off with along with having a universal power connection setup for server as well as ATX cases. I find their prices on memory way off base at times. The price comparison between the Corsair and Seasonic models and the slightly higher price seen on the heavier OCZ model.

For gaming and other rather "different looking" model cases I simply don't at newegg when looking around. One of the largest selections of various types as well as styles of cases, compact, mid - full tower, and server cases can be looked over at http://www.xoxide.com/pccases.html This is one site that deals more with specialty cases as well as cooling products.

The OCZ is an actual good one, if you ask me If you have doubts on which one to choose, look for one with an Active PFC and high efficiency. It's more stable than a dirt cheap PSU.

The OCZ model stood out over the other two for the same price seen on all three. For $5 less you can also lose 50w for the 85% effeciency seen on the 500w Seasonic model at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817151029

I would be looking at the OCZ here if I didn't already have the Antec True Power II 550w model just sitting around waiting for the next build now. The TP II 480w supply has done a great job here for running three versions of Windows on three separate hard drives without any dropoffs when placing a good load on the system on top of that.

A corsair 620 can run sli 8800gtxs really:confused:confused: can my 520 run sli 8800gts?

At those prices I'd favour the Seasonic. The OCZ exhibits substantial ripple on the +12V rails at moderate to high loads, and isn't of the same build quality as the other two. As I already mentioned, the Corsair 520W is a great PSU that can be found far cheaper than at newegg.

A Corsair 620W can indeed run a pair of 8800GTXs, although it wouldn't be the PSU that I'd buy for that. A pair of 8800GTSs would be really pushing the 520W version.

OK, could u show me links ceewi1?
I guess, what is a great psu that could be bought for less than $150 usd?
Or do i just go with one of pc eye's suggestions for that price? (Are the corsairs better than his selections? and where would i get them other than newegg?)

The Silverstone Olympia is a very strong contender. The Corsair 620W can be found for $126 after $20 MIR with free shipping from zipzoomfly. The Olympia is $128 from deadeyedata. Both are superb units, and I can't see you being disappointed with either.

The only problem with the deal at ZipZoomFly is the complaints some have offered when they wouldn't accept returns on defective products! The price on the HX620 is certainly better but the service? Silverstone also happens to be on the "good" list along with the others mentioned that has been compiled and updated recently. Here's a good look at the HX620 Corsair model seen in the review at http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2006/09/10/corsair_hx620_coolermaster/1.html
