Heya guys, Im new to the forums so sorry if i b4lls this up a bit, Ive been playing on consoles for about 5 years now and i wanted to get better graphics and fancied a go at PC, and like many people i bought a regular laptop thinking i could play anything at max settings... this did not happen lol, Most games i can get decent fps on lowest settings - to medium depending on how demanding the game is, (I cant even play bf3 above 10fps on lowest settings) so i decided to get an upgrade,
since i have a bit of cash lying around and i noticed a computer store near me is now stocking a new gaming computer do you think its worth the money ? and is it good ? What type of games and settings could i run at ?

That's a lot in US money! I know computers are more expensive in the UK, but that could use at least an i7 for that kind of money. I'm no expert though.

Edit- It's only a dual core! Not even worth it!

It's really quite expensive for what it is. £800 and you only get a GTX 650 Ti. That's a mid-range graphics card.

You should build your own. If you like I can put a list of together on Overclockers or Novatech. They're two good stores. I always buy from Novatech myself. Good service. :)

If you build your own for £800 you'll get a far better performing machine and it'll be cheaper.

Yup, have to agree with the others thats too much money for that machine. And with just a 500watt PSU (probably not even a good one) it wont be very upgradable.

i5-4430 is a quad core :)
But yeah, very unbalanced system. You could build your own and make it much better for the same money.

Overpriced!
You would better build one yourself.
Or if you just want to buy one. Get something like these
http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/-b-NEW-b-Gigadon-4670K-94p1724.htm
Upgrade GPU to GTX 760
If DinoPC builds good PCs, then this is probably the best option if you don't want to build it yourself. They clearly say which mobo, RAM and PSU that's used, so you know it's quality (Gigabyte mobo and Corsair RAM+PSU)

I've thought about building my own but honestly i don't know the first thing about building one ;D, and i dont even know what i need to make one either. So yeah i definately shouldnt get this one ?

I can't check if the value is good, but the system consists of quality components (they often skimp on RAM, mobo and PSU) and it comes with a 3 year warranty for the system itself, which is good for a novice that doesn't want to service it themselves.
It looks like a good value though, all things considered, but I haven't checked the prices on the individual items since I'm at work.

The components they use looks solid to me. And compare to other like cyberpowersystem, overclockers, they seems to be relatively cheaper.

And got good review at trustpilot.

Just checked at pcpartpicker, come up with ~£725 if going for GTX 760
They are charging £772 + £15 delivery (UK mainland).
This seems good bargain. I personally won't build a PC and give 3 year warranty and charge less than £50 for all that.

The only problem I would see is you may need to wait 1 - 2 weeks for it to deliver or cable management in case is not as good due to lack of time?

Not sure if you're referring to Dino PC or the one the OP posted, but the one posted by the OP is not great value for money. For £800 you can do better yourself or if you look elsewhere.

Alrighty, since everyone is eager to put me off buying this thing i spent about 2 hours looking around for pc parts and i came up with this, i know very little about whether they work together or not so could someone please take a minute or two just to tell me if these parts are all compatible and are a good choice ?

Thats odd, When i click on my links it says not avaliable but when i look at them from my checkout list i can see them, Ill just upload screenshots of all of them for you instead.

Just post the component you're looking at. Tell us the names of the actual parts and post a link to each one.

Eg: Processor: i5 4670K and then post the URL.

I was talking about the DinoPC with 660 upgraded to 760. Looks like good value, and if they care about their PCs (cable management etc) I would recommend that.
Every consoler that I know, it would be impossible to teach them how to build a PC. But that's of course not true for everyone in the world.

And the reason the links don't work, is because it's linking a shortened URL.
"http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/c...scsk-1100.html" is the address it puts in the URL bar, which is obviously not the right link :)

The forum can shorten the links, it's just when you copy just the shortened link it messes up. Besides, just tell us the parts you're using. Easier for you and us.
