Is this a good sound card for music?

Hi all,
Im looking to install a new soundcard into my machine. The onboard sound on my Mobo is crackly at high levels and pissing me off of late.
anyway, i dont know much about s.cards but was looking at this one

I'll be using 2 channel audio mostly for music.
also, are the harmon kardon soundsticks III as good as they say?
Might make a nice upgrade as well

Yes a good card for the price and will be much better than onboard.

I have the D1,Sound quality is excellent and the drivers are stable...could not ask for more really.

Cant really comment on your speakers though,I have Logitech X-540 5.1 but 95% of the time are listening through headphones.

Would there be much difference between the two cards in terms of sound quality?
I don't mind spending the extra for a noticeable difference

i dont know how much you're willing to spend on a sound card

idk how much of a difference it would make in the price difference, but im thinking youll get your moneys worth.

as soon as i popped this card and installed it, listened through my speakers, and this card literally blew my mind away... its crazy
