Is this a good starting computer?

It is this a trustworthy site and if so is this a good desktop to game with and go online to stream video like anime? It's a good decent price. The video card seems pretty decent. The processor to me seems fine but I'll be upgrading later. My Asus home pentirum died on me so I need a new computer. Coming from a dual core home pentirum will this be a big difference? I play league and some wow and maybe wanna get some fps later. Any ideas of something better like similar deal or more bang for my buck or is this pretty good?
 
I appreciate your really quick reply and also the link. So that processor is better but the abs gpu is better but will the other one that you sent will the processor make up for it? Is i5 sufficient or do I need to go to an i7?

Yes, Newegg is an excellent and reputable vendor, that many of us regularly use..so no problem there.

Have you considered building your own custom PC, using Newegg for parts, instead of a pre-built machine...I'll be honest that machine looks ugly, and just the picture scares me to think of the cheap, no name components inside.

We have many very qualified members that can help you pick parts, if needed..as well, there are many walk-thrus online and here about building your own personal tower from scratch.

And yes, an i5 would be an excellent and powerful choice, and many find the i7, while top tier, to be overkill or unnecessary for most builds. There is a significant price point savings on the i5 too!

I actually don't know what resolution but I wanna say 1080p?
Yeah youre right I should be picking them out individually but Imy just scared to mess up I'm sure if I pick it out it would be cheaper for something I actually want but cisco put out a pretty good comp.. does the. 4gb make a big difference from the 2gb graphics card
 
I'm gonna go with Laquer here a little. That has a lot of parts that sound really good but at that price I'm concerned of the quality. The main thing that pre-builds usually lack is a good power supply also. It's ok if you plan to never upgrade and just leave it the way it is, but upgrading a pre-build is usually a nightmare and often costs the same as buying a whole new computer. Years ago I had an hp and I wanted to upgrade from onboard graphics and all I could do was a PCI low end video card, and upgrading the processor might be the same thing. I did notice the system here, it does not specify the power supply. I think if you buy that it will save you some money for now but will lead to disappointment if you end up wanting to get into higher end gaming. Also, the GTX 970 is basically the average Pc gamer's video card of choice, but fairly soon I imagine a new line will come out. However with a pre build I doubt you would be able to upgrade to a next-gen card. So a good starter, casual system this is good but once you get really serious it might really fall short. Also at this point 4k is really expensive. As far as I know you might be able to get some ok frame rates with a GTX 970 4gb, but I wouldn't expect much. You'd probably be looking at more of a Titan card or a GTX 980, and those run at around $800. Then 4k monitors here in Canada are around $450 and above.

I guess the decision needs to made what kind of gamer you are going to be. If you want to be future proof and play the latest games at good settings and frame rates, a custom build is basically the totally ideal way to go. If you don't mind older games/newer games at ok settings for now then yes this system is good enough. That's my speal.

I also found this article maybe I can just follow it without the sSD? And without the case I was thinking to reuse my old case and DVD drive for now to skimp out on a hefty price? Any ideas? In trying to range around 800 and stay away from 1000

Processor Cooler/Heatsink (tube of thermal paste)
Graphics card
Ram

Hdd (ideally an SSD and HDD)
DVD drive
Case

You may need extra fans, cables, and potentially an add-in wifi card

If you grab an SSD for windows, you may want to factor in a fresh Windows install, unless your eligible for free upgrade

DVD drive is like $15 and a cheap case, like $50
 
Thanks guys for the guidance. I want a i5 but idk which graphics card is amd good for processing? Anyone know a site so they pretty much pick out which you need so I can buy from new egg?

Honestly I wish I seen this before making my purchase. So unfortunately I chose the pretty build cisco put up just because I wasee scared to put things together and ordering parts and being impatient with myself and did a impulsive buy but I mean the pre-made ain't bad just switch out the power supply right? I can still change parts out right as long as they're compatible? I have a psu sitting I'll attach a photo or link. The processor is still good like legit I'm hoping since you guys warned me of non named brand items with the build. And the graphics I'm hoping is legit. The psu is "cool power gamer series 880w" idk if it's a good one? If anyone can clarify. I'm guessing this is a good started comp since I only play league and some world of warcraft. I'm sure if this computer can handle I'll be tempted to try higher end games on high.

I think generally, people here shy away from pre built PC, but so many variables, if you get it and it works for your needs--thats all that matters.

As for upgrading, I have no idea--I'd assume you can upgrade things--but to what degree--not sure!
