My computer been on for 2 weeks now stright and the temps of the mobo and cpu are the following.

CPU: 43C
MB: 26C

these temps was looked at when I was just browsing the internet and had word open.

Do these look like normle levels for a athlon fx-55 cpu and a ASUS "A8V Deluxe" VIA K8T800 Pro mobo.

Well if your comptuer ahs been on for 2 weeks straight, I guess those are fine. I really don't know what kind of temps AMD's get anyway, so. They look fine, for two weeks. By then, my Xbox would xplode.

1. Those are good idle temps but what you need to be concerned with are stress-temps
2. ALso be aware of the room temps (i.e.,, if the room temp is -10C and those are your temps then ur in trouble)

1. good point next time I play half life 2 for a few hours I take a look at my temps or would running all the benchmarks in 3dmark05 be a better stress test?

2. my room temps not hot but I would not consider it cold.

My comps been on for 6 hours solid
Not running anything stressful only word and internet
CPU temp at the moment is 27.5C

after an hour of half life 2 my temps was the following

CPU: 51C within a min of watching it it was back down to 43C after I stop playing
MB: 24C no clue why this was lower this time

~50C is normal for a load temp, seems fine to me. I variate from 28C-48C (on 1.65v), theres a big difference. Kind of odd urs is only 43C-51C. maybe your fan is more powerful than mine i dunno if that makes a difference.

I have 4 case fans, 2 psu fans and a cpu fan. the 6 fans I can control I always leave on max. Am at the point that I cant fall to sleep unless I hear the noise my fans make on max speed.
