i have somebody that wants to trade me these:
fractle micro atx case
gigabyte socket fm1 micro atx motherboard
a6-3670 unlocked apu w/ stock cooler
1 tb hard drive
64 gig crucial ssd

and i give him these:
ecs socket am3 micro atx motherboard
amd 1090t
corsair a70 cooler
2 x 40 gig intel ssd's

if it matters i have about $240 invested in these4 things.

any opinions will be great...thanks

Price wise i think what you have is worth a bit more than what you're trading for.

Performance wise, I would say your system has much more power than what you're trading for.

I would say no.

alrighty...so the trade has changed a little....same thing except i keep my 2 ssd's. and he keeps his ssd. that puts my total cost in at $140plus another 80 to get the parts i need to build apc with it, and ill sell it for 300...or is it stil a bad idea

Your current processor is better than the FX1 you'd be trading for. It may be an APU, but so what?

i know my current cpu i sbetter, but id be getting a case thats 100 bucks, a hard drive thats thats 120, and then a quad core a 6 and MB. and all i would need is to spend 80 bucks to get it running for sale....with the 1090t id need to spend 200 plus...i dont know what to do....im selling all my stuff either way and doing a complete upgrade...im just trying to do what will bring the biggest profit

your cpu and cooler make yours wayyy more powerful, unless he pays you like 100 nobodies going to say it's a good deal.

With your updated proposal, I would do it. Like you said, I think you could ultimately make more profit by doing the trade. The fact that you're getting a pretty decent case and an HDD swings it your way. Who cares if your 1090T is better than his APU when you would be using neither yourself? And I don't see that cpu cooler being a big deal when selling the system. All that's going to do is either raise your asking price and make it harder to sell or more or less giving it away for free with the rest of the system.

Filling in the gaps and building a system to sell second-hand clearly favors the other person's parts.

Id hold onto your cpu and stuff....unless hes giving you cash for the gap....just not seeing a equivalent exchange there...

alright...i did the trade, and im glad i did so far. the case is real nice and getting the 1 tb hard drive really helps out with this build im putting up for sale. like i said i only had $140 invested in the board, 1090t and corsair a70. so trading it to get these things, its like saying i only have $140 invested n this new build, which i should be able to at least double my money. thanks for the advice...i know trading a 1090t for this apu sounds a little crazy, but with everything i got along with it, i think its a good deal....the case and motherboard together are $200, plus the apu is 120, and the hard drive is also 120....that puts it at 440 in parts that i got, for trading parts that i only spent 140 on.
