is this a good water cooling system for quad

at what point (price range) does water cooling become "worth it"

Hard to say, since you can buy something that is $200+ at less than $150 on Egay. But I wouldn't spend less than 150. And of course look at the specs. Something for $150 can be better than $200 at times. How man CFM does the air flow at? That is the biggest thing I look at along with the db the fans make, pump, etc.

with the Thermaltake Bigwater 745 Liquid System

also im new and didnt really study watercooling.

here are my questions
1. does the coolant recycle and how often do u need to change it

2.will car antifreeze/collant work

3.how far could i get a quad q6600 to oc 2.8 will be great if it can do that

4.can i buy a aftermarket vga block and connect it to this letting it cool the cpu and vga at the same time

5. does this setup come with everything in the package to have it up and running only cooling the cpu

6. it must suck to have it leak on the cpu lol

Noise Level of the Zalman is going to be a bit louder than a radiator fan, but the Zalman 9700 dissipates about 75cmf so that is really good for a heatsink fan, since most cooling systems at the $200 price range dissipate anywhere from 60-120cmf.

newegg won't let me look at it but don't you need a 775 socket

coolant/additives don't add any extra performance that good old DISTILLED water can't give you

1. you shouldn't need to add much, shouldn't need to change it

2.yes but mixed with distilled water, I would not use antifreeze or any other additives

3. I don't know

4. yes but that would push up your CPU temps

5. I can't look at it but yes it should, just look at the pic on newegg

6. yes, system killer

DO NOT USE TAP WATER, there will be build up of mineral and other stuff, very hard to get rid of

does it look like a decent water cooling system

i picked it cause i trust thermaltake if u have any sugestions for a more powerful and better quality at this price range let me know im gonna use this to oc a quad core 2.4

and possible later on get 2 7950gt waterblocks or maby not i dont really thing video cards at that level need water if it starts slowing down cause of heat then i might

yes it looks good, the only better quality would be custom but you won't find that for $150, I don't know about how far you can OC

I don't know if a Bigwater's pump can handle CPU and two GPU blocks, you would be better off buying the 2 GPU block, a new pump, and maybe a better rad
