Is this a legit e-mail? Please help!!

I'm a complete computer novice so please bear with me.

I'm a little concerned though as I've received an e-mail from symantec, but am dubious about the e-mail addy it's been sent from, which is [email protected]

By all looks of things GMX are a free e-mail provider such as yahoo, hotmail, etc. Can anyone please confirm if this is definitely a fake e-mail address?

it sounds like a fake be careful as some things on the net which claim to do miracle things turn out to be Trojens and viruses

but your right some people dont even say that.

But yeah i agree with Brian,seems fake to me and i wouldnt respond to that email.

I am the world's most polite person & always say please & thank you. Been off watching I'm a Celeb (though please don't tell anyone :eek:)!!! & fully intended to check the responses to my question when I got back to my 'puter.

I thank you very much for your feedback. You've made me feel better knowing it's probably fake as it was a rather threatening e-mail in nature.
