is this card good

Not a gaming card, general use such as office and photoediting yes but that's it. The modern games won't be playable, yep same story as the 5200.

i want it for bit of gaming well gaming really and its not good its got its own GPU and memory and its 256ram onbaord its not good??? i dont get

If you looking for a decent gamming card on a fairly low budget I would conisder the radeon 9600 pro. I dont know how many pounds that cost but it cost $100usd in the usa.

well i've got a 5200 and i play 1.6 cs pretty good no lags average about 35-45 fps depending on the map but my latency through my computer lan is the only thing i need to fix, and all my settings for the graphix are maxed

yeah but it supports directX so it will work with directX games, and it is 256mb and its got its own core and memory will the graphics just be sh1t or wont it work with games Aquering 256mb at all

its best to get nvidia because all the games i play are sponserd or there logo appears up at the start of the game is what im saying right so im going for nvidia now instead of ati

Heres the deal.

Theres budget cards and theres low budget cards, in the latter category Ati is the way to go and as mgoldb2 already mentioned, the 9600Pro would be the best choise really, it has DX9 support and performs very good for it's price. It's way faster than Nvidias cheapest DX9 cards and it overclocks.

Now I live is Sweden but I don't think the price differ much, 9600Pro 128Mb is around $100 us here. Never mind the memory you won't need more than 128Mb on a card in this class anyway.

so it doesnt matter if the graphics card has its own core speed and memory speed???

All graphics cards got their own core and memory. It's just that not all of them are fast enough to do the job you want. :)

But yes, on a budget that small I would go with Ati's 9600Pro.

so even if the website dont tell you the graphics card core speed memory and memory speed all the graphics cards have them yeah?!?!

Yes, just make sure you order the right card, look at the chipset name. 9600Pro is the chipset we recommended you.
