is this comp worth it?

Not really. If you had made your own computer you could have had a computer probably twice as better. It only has half a gig of RAM which isn't enough and it is running on integrated graphics! Really the only good thing is the 200GB hard drive and the CPU... and even at that the CPU isn't that great...

Next time you get a new computer, go through the extra trouble and build your own... it pays off at the end.

With integrated graphics????? I seriously doubt that any FPS released in the last few years would even be playable, let alone at anything above minimal quality settings.

Put in a decent graphics card, at least a 6600GT, and it would be at least reasonable, but you could probably build this yourself for just over half the price. Certainly for $1000 you could get a MUCH better system. 512MB RAM is also barely sufficient.
 
You ALMOST got a good deal if you payed ~600US for that. All the parts in there are probably worth no more than 400-500US, you can always upgrade though with that machine, the PCIe slot and most likely 4 RAM slots allow for nice upgradeablity.
 
one more question, i experience a bit of lag when playing call of duty 2 on the minimal details, how can i get rid of this lag?
 
You have 512 Mb of RAM and integrated graphics so its a given that you have chopiness. Whats your buget for upgrading? Upgrading to a gig of RAM and getting a nice graphic card would be the most beneficial.
 
what kind of memory(ram) do i need to put in it? i heard theres different types, how much will a 512 mb stick cost? BTW im new to computer gaming ahaha :cool:
 
1 gig of RAM would be beneficial, but i'd start by upgrading the video card to a 6600GT or better, depending on your budget. This will also improve your RAM since it will no longer be shared with the video memory. If you still have money to spend, upgrading to 1GB of RAM is your next choice. As for what type of RAM you should get, i'd run CPU_Z and find out what you have now, and get another 512MB stick of the same type (if possible).
 
Since you're running an AMD processor you need to get DDR400 memory, which is the fastest memory that AMD's can run with... that is until AM2 when they will be compatible with DDR2 memory:D:) (Can't wait!)
Follow these steps on upgrading your computer... If you want to play games follow this...

1. New graphics card. Since you are using PCI-E you can get the latest cards. If money is no object look at the 7800 series from nVidia or if you are an ATi guy you can look at their 1800 line. However, I highly suggest the 7800 over the 1800.

2. Get more RAM! get at least a gig if not upgrade to 2 gigs of RAM since games are becoming memory hogs

3. Anything else that needs to be upgraded falls into this one. New PSU would probably be good and maybe a new hard drive (that is if you ever fill up that 200GB)
