Is this computer worth it?

Hey I am just got a new computer for $800, it has pentium 4 HT processor,3.0 Ghz, 502 Ram, 185 GB of storage, 17' sony digital LCD monitor, and the computer is vaio. It also have a has cable tv plug-in and bunch of others. So, is it worth $800? :confused:

P.S-umm..i see a similar thread...so I ask the same question-will my computer play the newer games without lag? ;)
 
As for the games, what kind of Graphics card do you have? with that kinda equipment, it's not bad, not great for the price.
 
Depending on graphics card, included software, and OS they gave you, i'd say $800 isn't a "bad" price at all.

But if it turns out to be like built-in gfx, no AV software, and Windows ME, then i'd have only payed maybe $600. that's jsut me though.
 
here is a little more, it has windows XP home edition. Giga pocket V5 for cable tv, DVD-recording, DVD/ CD-ROM drivers, it also come with a remote for the tv....where the information about the graphic card under, I m having a little trouble finding it. :cool:
 
with a 3ghz processor obviously is not going to have windows ME.

unless it is aftermarket install.

even with intergrated video and no sofwares it is still a good deal. i mean most of the softwares are crap anyways.
 
There are several ways to 'discover' what graphics you have- this is my fav. Go start, run, and type in dxdiag and press enter. After it's all loaded up, go to the display tab, all the information will be there.
 
intel 910GL express chipset (224 mb).........does that sounds like a graphic card? I am kind of clueless with all these hardware stuff..... :confused:

Is this a socket478 or socket775 chip?

with a 3ghz processor obviously is not going to have windows ME.

Well OEM motherboards are generally crap to start with ... and if its an integrated video

To answer your original question: you can play without lag ... but dont expect to run anything past medium detail at low resolution.
