Is this cooler good?

They will expell hot air from the gpu's directly into your case, rather than through the expansion slots at the back. Not really suitable for Quadfire, unless you have a large case with very good airflow.

I thought you were going to put them on water?

Hmmmm. Water costs 1000 dollars

well how much does the rest of the system cost? and water gets your cpu higher clocked, gpus higher clocked, and of course performance raised more. Of course do you really need to overclock the gpus in the first place? they should be plenty fast. Although if you want more performance sell your current gpus and go up to 3 7970's, wonder how that compares?

Idk man I really like 6990s plus those 7970 drivers are hurtin right about now. I'll post my water choices up soon.

Ive spent $3200 on my system, plus another grand coming up for water everything, and then prolly another 500 bucks for this sexy lian li case. The 2000xf or whatever oh and another like 300 bucks for a big ssd

Im just gonna get a scythe gentle typhoon and use it as a rear exhaust fan then. I have the top fans as exhaust fans, and the side fan i have it pulling in air. should i make the side fan a exhaust fan? The gpus run very hot and loud now, so i have nothing to gain but some type of performance, whether it be a lower temp or getting my sanity back from not hearing 2 vacuum cleaners ahem graphics cards screaming all day.

You can always try and see if it makes a difference. You have the... HAF X, right? Or something similar? Have just that one 200mm at the front?

You could try putting another fan in the CD drive cage, if you have room in there, and use the side fan as out. Or replace the 200mm fan with 2 120mms. Those fans' airflow is 110cfm, and the average 120mm is 75cfm, so getting two would push more air out.

WTF?!

Why just copy and paste what I wrote?

lol what a jerk. anyway i got two twin turbo 6990 and temps under load went from 81c to a ridiculous 54c with furmark. Unreal and the fans are dead silent. I have a scythe gentle typhoon (what a beast) moving air inside the hard drive cage right over the gpus
