It's basically memory that OEM's put in their systems to keep costs down. Memory is memory. You won't see any difference in that memory to memory in a different brand with the same specs.

Would you recommend replacement? What would be a good alternative

You will need triple channel memory, 3 sticks.

I see you are running 4 sticks of 2gb each for a total of 8gb. You would be better running in triple channel mode which you aren't at the moment. You would need either 3 or 6 sticks to remain in triple channel mode. The memory I linked you to would give you a total of 12 gb and keep you in triple channel mode.

Whoa, 100 dollars of RAM?! I'm guessing that is going to be a big jump in performance?..

Give a shot of the Memory tab instead of the SPD tab. The SPD tab just show what it can run at. The Memory tab shows what its really running at.

I maybe a few months off from this upgrade. When I do this I also want to upgrade to a modular power supply unit, with custom cables, lengths, sleeving, and so on. It will take time and for someone who works seven days a week from April through November, it's bad timing to start now. Perhaps after December.

I'm a day away from shipping my old XFX 5770 1GB to a friend across the US. It's a decent card, and he can use it more than I can, so I gave it to him. :)

Haha, and here I am in the market for a card on ebay :) There you are with a card good enough for my needs. It got lost in the mail?

It's not been shipped yet, it's somewhere in a 12 foot by 20 foot storage unit. Sadly the retail box and box XFX shipped an RMA'd unit back to me in are right next to me. I put the old card in the Sapphire 7870 XT box when I was pulling my old system from my case and installing new.

Comparing the two cards, BF3 on Highest settings 1680x1050, highest resolution my monitor runs at, the 7870 XT is running @ 60 FPS, and the 5770 ran between 25-30 FPS on lowest settings and lower resolution.

I don't think they offer it anymore, but I got around $120 in free games, but never sent in the $15 mail in rebate, and paid around $270 for the Sapphire card, $175 for the XFX card, both within a few months of their release dates.

Things get lost in the mail all the time, and honestly if I had two 5770's I would have given you the second one. Only if I can find the card now. :(
