ok, so i have my pc stable at 3.3ghz and now im pretty familiar with overclocking. my question is can i disable(or set multiplier to 1x) on 1 or 2 of the cores so that it doesn't get too hot when im just doing simple stuff like surfin web, word proccessing, etc? or will having different core speeds or 1 this low damage my cpu? thanks

NO, to my knowledge that is not possible, your computer will immediatly shut down when settings are changed to that...

you could try overdrive is your mobo supports it:

I personally have no experience with overdrive so all i can really do is suggest trying it.

Like bomber said you can use AMD Overdrive. You can clock cores individually with it. It was really meant to get the Max overclock on each core, but I guess you could use it to underclock cores as well.

yeah, that how i got my pc oc to 3.4, amd overdrive rocks cause u dont have to keep restarting pc to change settings
