Is this daisy chain okay?

My surge protectors say not to plug them into each other, but I suspect that's because of fear of overloading the AC socket. Basically, my TV and Blu-ray player/receiver combo aren't close enough to a wall socket, and I don't have a surge protector that will reach the devices. But I have two surge protectors, so I plugged one into the other, extending the reach of the first. The two black cords plugged into the tan surge protector (far end) are my TV and Blu-ray player/receiver. The third plug in the white surge protector (closest to AC plug) is my laptop charger. I think this is a small load, so wouldn't cause a problem. Also, the surge protector closer to the wall socket has a red light/switch indicating surge protection, which I believe would switch off if the load was too high. Just wanted to check with someone to get some feedback.

Get an extension cord instead. You're not supposed to daisy chain surge protectors, just like you don't run one UPS off another UPS.
