is this good RAM to buy for a 1000$ budget gaming computer?
the CAS latency is only 2 and its got a heat spreader.
i plan on getting a 7800GT also so im hoping those 2 will make my comp run any game max settings smoothly, do you think so.

yea thats a pretty good deal. kingston is obviously a trusted well known brand. and 2 of those shuld do nicely.

If you want 1G, why not get something like I have(above) Or I've seen it for around 80-90 before. The prices really jump around.

$60 for 512MB isnt really a steal, you can get some good 1GB RAM for around $80.
