Is the Intel Pentium D 925 3.0GHz Dual-Core OEM Processor a good CPU?

Is it better then a AMD AThlon 64X2 4000+

No, they are about the same only that the AMD has a better architecture, i wouldn't buy an oem version if i were you since it won't include the fan needed to run a processor

I would go with the AMD X2 4000+ in this case.

Good comparison of the two processors (Well a 930). Over-all, the Athon is the top choice. Most all Athon's are superior to the Pentium D series.
