Is this good?

Sweet..

One more thing... Is there anything I need to know about SSD that are different from normal HDD's? Any installation, OS things etc etc? I know absolutely nothing as far as Im aware they just plug in (SATA and Power) like a normal HDD?

Before you even get to installing windows you'll need to set the drive to AHCI in the BIOS, and make sure you have the driver for the SSD itself.

Secondly, you'll need to align the drive and NOT format it when installing windows. You can google some guides for "aligning solid state drives" which should help you out there.

Oh and lastly, disable the page file on the SSD and put it on another driver if you have one, preferably a mechanical. Otherwise set it to something small (maybe a quarter of the amount of RAM you have) to avoid degrading the drive.

I think that's it.

The driver? Would that mean that I have to have a operating system installed before I even use the SSD? I was planning to do a completely fresh install of Vista on the SSD? Or are the drivers installed in a flash (dos or whatever they call it now a days)

What does this do? Ill check out some guides... Cheers...

Ok check... I also plan to turn off the system restore thing as I generally take a Macrium image of a fresh install so I can just reinstall that everytime instead of going through all the windows updates, program installs etc...
