The WD is better because it's SATA which is faster and better than Ultra ATA, but the 1st one is better because it has much more space. What are you going to be putting on the hard drive? Games, music, videos?

all around stuff. video editing so games maybe some music recording.

ok well im going to stay with the SATA drive i think because its faster and newer and i can always add more space with another drive later if i need to
