Is this graphics card good for gaming?

We need to know the exact card you're looking at before we can tell you. Depending on the specs, I'm going to say that it will play COD4 and Crysis on low and that's about it.
 
It'll pay crisis on med setting, and CoD4 on max. Although of course that would depend on the rest of the parts it would be getting coupled with.

no way.

An 8600 plays cod4 on like low/medium-low, and it and the 9500 are meant to be in the same sort if range

the 9500GT is faster, based on most reviews it can actually play cod4 at max on a 1680 x 1050 screen at 31fps average:D,.....

Based on what? There is no way that video card can do that. Not even close. A 9600gt at max and 1440x900 resolution dosen't even run near playable. I dont know where you got your specs man, but you should re-check them before you post things like that. It could lead him to buying the wrong card!

Buy a 8800 gt or a 9800 gt. Save up if you have too. It will play cod at max settings for real! not for fake!^

note that these benchmarks were made before the forceware 178.13 was released which should suppose to show performance improvements on cod4,....

anyway there is nothing more to argue here, the 9500GT is not a good buy anymore considering that the HD4670 just come out with the performance almost on par with HD 3850 even surpassing it,...
