Is this laptop good for college?

Hi, recently I've been posting on this site trying to find the perfect laptop for me. As you may know I want one that can run all new games and let me do my school work as well. My price range is about 1200 dollars. This laptop looks great to me, has everything I want. The only thing that scares me is Vista. I heard that vista is terrible but maybe you guys can help me out. The buy loooks great but any opinions would be awesome. Thanks!!

yeah looks a great laptop from its specs and Asus are a good brand.

As for the vista question....as you know Vistas not been released that long so it still has alot of bugs and Incompatible things but im sure microsoft will release patches and updates to fix these problems.

honestly Vistas not that bad,I would definatly say stick with vista if you get it pre-installed.

Yeah, that is a great notebook for college, I have heard good things about the model with the Geforce Go 7700, which is pretty much the same
