Uhm, I think it's a good laptop for the price. It has BluRay and other crap most of today's laptop's don't have for a low price.

see all i want it is for movies wich it has a bluray player but im not so sure about games i read about the card thats in there and its 512 dedicated so i would think it can play any game

Answer is, yes.

Good price for the specs, and of course a laptop is more exspencive.

8600 gs, Blu-Ray... Heck you could play Cod:WaW on it of you want to.

I say go for it.

cool thanks i mean all im buying a laptop for is movies and games and i just want to make sure that i am getting a laptop that will handle games these days

Yeah, get it. The only difference in that Core 2 Duo T5xxx and the Core 2 Duo T7xxx is that the T7's have a 4MB L2 Cache. That 8600M GS will handle things pretty well.

alright i found another laptop and was wondering if it will be good for games

you may not be able to do much with a prodcessor like that the only thing that could make a difference is how much RAM you have if you have the max 4 GB then you will be able to run stuff ok.

I would go for something that has a higher processr speed but for the price its ok

Are you judging by the frequency alone?

I don't think you're too much up on your hardware knowledge. A T5xxx CPU is a T7xxx series CPU less 2MB of L2 cache. And it's a mobile CPU therefore it will not be 3.0Ghz like the desktop Core 2 Duo CPUs. The only limitation on the laptop in the original post is the graphics card and when it comes to a good machine the graphics card is the limit in gaming. Also, 3GB of RAM is plenty, I don't think he's going to be running multiple virtual machines.

umm the first one is okay, the second one is terrible if you want to game. a 9600 will be decent for games but i dont think you should hope to run the most current games with it. i dont know if you can do better than 9600 for $770 though.
