it's pretty much a judgemet call for you. honestly it's not something i would do, you're better off just buying the game.
 
I don't think i'll buy it then... but the retail store still charges $90 AU for a copy of the game. :(
 
I should be able to get away with medium settings and maybe 2x AA on my current rig, and most likely high settings and 2x AA with my "soon to be" rig... once the mobo and 4850 arrive of course. Hopefully today...

I've also reached my 25gb download limit and my internet is horribly slow. :(

Can't you use a cd key like this for any games on games for windows live? I'm pretty sure you can.
 
The question -- how did the seller get hold of a CD-key that he is willing to sell for
$10.00? There is no way he is an official reseller. So I think he had to obtain it
through an illegal means.
 
You are upgrading your CPU right?

A low end dual core doesnt cut it AT ALL.

I've got the game, Single player yeh, I can get medium settings, AA doesnt even work anyway.

Multiplayer.. No chance. I had my E5200 @ 3.8GHz for a while, the best I could get was LOW settings, I was averaging around 25 fps at the best of times.


Seriously, this game EATS cpu power. If you can get a quad id highly reccomend the game. But with a slower dual., like mine or yours. It looks and plays absolutley terrible.
 
I wont upgrade my cpu just, i'll OC it to about 3ghz and get by on singleplayer. I don't really play multiplayer games except for CSS

Same here, I wouldn't trust it if you said they sell it new in AU for a lot more. 10$ is waay too cheap and not safe IMO.. Sorry man :(

You can get key generator programs...I saw one once for Call of Duty 4. It might be what this guy is doing. That's a shame:( I would not even think about doing this.

OMG...my local stare sells it for $29 US dollars.
$90 AUS dollars = $82 US dollars today

I could buy a copy and ship it to you:D Wait...is that even legal?

I'm pretty sure that is legal, but buying a key and using someones disk... well, it sounds risky.

Does the steam version of this game use games for windows live? if it doesn't i might get it through steam.
