is this motherboard any good for an e6300

thx for the quick reply. im not too sure about getting an asrock mobo i usually prefer to stick with the biggest names like Abit or Asus but i'm open still open to any suggestions. btw what do u guys think of the one i've picked.

Do you plan to overclock?

When i actually buy the computer as it will be such a big upgrade from an AMD Sempron i will probably not overclock, but having the ability to overclock a year down the line when something completely new has come out, that blows the e6300 away will be nice.

But to be honest i could do without the overclocking features if it does save a significant amount of money.

Thanks.

That was the board I was going to recommend for you. It seems to be a good board, however i'm quite unfamilar with ASUS board, more of a gigabyte person, and there a good board in your price range, maybe one of the 945's could be could enough if you want to save like 15-20 pound.

I agree that this is a very good board, but i am a very proud asrock user and it has been the best board i have used in years, not once have i had a BSOD or any sort of memory or hardware related issue since i got this board, and im redering all kindsa stuff in 3ds Max all the time.

And im definately not upgradin my board for when UT 2007 comes out coz i know that it will work well wif it
