Is this Motherboard repairable or will it completely die?

Im currently running an inspiron 3700 and about a week or so i go, for no apparent reason the fan started to make loud fizzing noises that are very annoying if the room is quiet. And about 3-4 days ago the pcmcia slots died, i tried reformatting thinkin that maybe i must have screwed up some connections disabling the slots but it was to know avail, currently running through a usb wireless adaptor. Same thing happened with a project laptop, at first one of the slots wouldn't work but after reformatting they were both detected and responded. but with the one im currently using none of them will respond, the aren't even being detected internally and or by audio. I also tried various wireless cards but it didn't help either. Would really appreciate any input and methods if anything is possible to be done about this. thanks lots in advance.

i got it second hand, i got it used for pretty cheap, kinda cheaper than usual. But i mean if i have to get rid of it i don't mind, i just didn't want to if somin could be done bout it but if its the only option, its better to do so and just get somin that is more reliable. Im really liking these tips.

As others have stated, i think you are in for a new laptop completely or a new motherboard for your current one. This however can be very pricey and the rarity of motherbopards for specific models of laptop bumps the price up even more.

IMO you are a lot better off getting a new laptop, or you can avoid a lot fo the hassle and switch to using a desktop, unless you need a laptop for some reason?
