Is this NORMAL?

Just a quick question & I'm hoping I am just being paranoid or overly concerned...

I have a folder in my Documents & Settings folder listed in my users titled "BB443B11-7D12-450c-9F85-2D32804655F9"

Inside of it there is a temp folder & inside that are hpi logs (.txt) and .hpi.

What are these files? Are they safe or a cover for a virus/trojan?
I googled hpi files & I am aware they may have something to do with my HP Printer...
I'd just like a clear answer of what these are & whether they are safe to have on my computer...

Thanks in advance!

I think overly concerned covers it! There's alot of files and folders created by various programs, chances that's one of those. If you're concerned about viruses and spyware, just get a anti-virus like "AVG", or an anti-spyware like "ad-aware". (these program have a free version, and works very well.)

Cheers

thanks!
i did notice that my printer was installed around the same time these files popped up... i think i'm in the clear. thanks for the reassurance, much appreciated.
