2gb would be just as good i think, i don't think you would see any performance difference,, but if u have the money, then get what ever you want, i dont think any games out require more than 2 and you can run all of them one 1... anyways

a 2 gig 660ti card MAY struggle a bit with gaming on multiple monitors, due to the 2 gigs of ram, and the 192bit bus it has. getting a 3 gig cardw will solve the amount of memmory issue, but when gaming on multiple monitors, you increase the resolution, and thats where the bus speed will effect you. doing any other task on the 2 gig card and it will run fine, just gaming on multiple monitors is where you may see a problem, assuming you are playing with max detail and settings

If you're only saving 20 pounds then definitely get the 3GB.
Yes I agree with that, if it was just "is this over kill or not" it's overkill but not for that little money

if you are willing to spend the money on the 3Gb card, look at buying the 670 instead...the memory will have very little impact on your gaming due to the bandwidth of the interface the card is in...

max payne 3 usses more then 2 gb un full graphics but you still have left.
but better is to go for a card with i higher bandwith.
if you are still want to by sure by a 7950 ore 7970 amd.
if you stay on 1 hd screen and you want nvidia go for the 660ti 3gb version

For only 20 difference, I would go for the 3GB.
I would also base the purchase on what you have planned for the future. When I was searching around for cards I looked at what I wanted in the end. There is always different ways in achieving what your goals are. For instance if you are looking at tripple 3D monitor, a person can look at either one hell of a card or sli/crossfire. If cost is an issue or concern, look at the cost both ways and weigh the benifits and disadvantages.
I personally like NVIDIA cards better than AMD cards because , for me, I see a difference in the picture quality. Asking around, I believe this is due to physics (or something like that). I liked the AMD for the cost and how cool it kept itself though. And the difgerence between picture qas minimum.
