im only going to buy something like this mainly for its CPU and i'll just add the
RAM and also can anyone tell me of a half decent "video card" if thats what its called that will give me crystal clear video footage to work with AE, thankyou.

you dont really need a incredibly good computer to run after effects. your normal £300 laptop will run it smooth enough. as for the graphics card that one has a onboard (built into motherboard) so go with another one. for after effects you dont need a top of the range graphics card either, you will barely get better quality from a good one. also that build is terrable. im assuming you will be doing alot of video editing so you will want more than a 80GB hard drive.
also dont buy from ebay, they have strange prices, and outdates computers.
overall dont buy that computer, it may be best to build one yourself.

No worries mate i'll take your advise on that one, besides ive seen a better one with an
AMD ATHLON II X2 250 DUAL CORE (3.0GHz) AM3 CPU
ONBOARD NVIDIA GEFORCE 6100 / NFORCE 430 GPU
GeIL 2GB DDR3-1333 CL9 MEMORY (HEATSINK) ULTRA FAST RAM

trust me mate when youve used a 1.7ghz 1200gb ram for a number of years
you'll appreciate anything, also which is your pref'? ATI or NVDIA?
